October 2010: ggnrv Bids Farwell to Bob Rogers go green NRV recently hosted a farewell gathering in honor of Bob Rogers, Chair of the steering committee. Bob’s foresight and tremendous energy has been invaluable in developing this group’s vision of helping businesses “green-up” in the NRV and has grown the organization since its beginnings in 2008. Recently retired, Bob has decided to focus more of his energy on his family and grandchildren. Thanks Bob for all your efforts!
June 2, 2010 The City of Radford is now part of go green NRV. They became the second municipal government to become a member of the organization. Bob Rogers presents Mayor Starnes with a letter of recognition.

After the presentation Mr. Rogers (Chairman of go green NRV) presents a checklist for Walmart to become a participating business with go green NRV. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday, October 16, 2009 Go Green NRV workshop held Peggy White, Executive Director of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce, recently facilitated a workshop sponsored by Go Green NRV. The group, with attendees representing various geographic locations throughout the NRV, met at the YMCA in Blacksburg . YMCA at VT; Margaret Mead said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. The Board of Supervisors, by unanimous vote, indicated support for the Go Green NRV initiative. At this time, the Board has not indicated a need to have a formal presentation by the committee; however, as the program progresses, an update by the Steering Committee may be appropriate.
